Achilleas Papadimitriou is an Associate professor. His area of expertise is continuing education. He holds a PhD in the field of adult and continuing education and his research focuses on adult participation in adult education and vocational education and training (VET). He has also worked extensively as a VET instructor for Vocational Training Institutes (IEK) in Greece and has participated in a number of research projects in the same area. In the last decade he is involved in various national and European research projects in the areas of education, vocational training and continuing professional development. His research interests focus on educational participation; curriculum development for VET, programme evaluation and quality assurance in VET. He has published in a variety of peer-reviewed journals in Greece and he is a co-author of a book on VET in Greece.
