Daniela Amorim, holds a PhD in Tourism, specialising in Cultural Tourism, Creative Tourism and Tourism Recreation at Events, from the University of Seville, Spain. She has a Master’s degree in Health Socio-Psychology and a degree in Cultural Entertainment and Community Education. She has been working in the field of Cultural Recreation since 2004, and since 2010, she has been teaching in the field of Tourism, Recreation and Events, organising various events in the artistic, cultural, environmental, sporting and educational areas within the scope of the subjects she teaches and also planning initiatives for the educational community. She is the coordinator of the Marés ESTM group, which has been in existence since 2020 and is composed of teachers, students and non-teaching staff. Its mission is to promote various initiatives that enhance revitalisation, interaction and promotion in various areas of the educational community, relying on several local partnerships. Her training and experience are reinforced by her contributions in the area of research, as she is a member of the Centre for Research, Development and Innovation in Tourism (CITUR) and part of the coordination team of CiTUR in Leiria. She is currently an assistant professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria, where she teaches the following subjects: Cultural Management, Dramatic Expression, Group Dynamics, Event Recneation Management and Internship Supervision. She is also a guest lecturer at the Polytechnic Institute of Santarém, where she teaches Tourism Recreation and Events in the area of Surfing. Since 2020, she has been the coordinator of the CTeSP in Tourism and Adventure Nature Recreation, and since 2021 she has been a member of the Scientific and Pedagogical Committee of the Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism Recreation, as well as having been a member of the Scientific and Pedagogical Committee of the TeSP in Surf Tourism. She is a member of the FAST project team – Tools to Support Sustainability in Tourism at the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria. In 2022 and 2023, she was part of the Tourism Activity Monitoring System Team at the Sustainable Tourism Observatory of Central Portugal. Since 2019, she has been a member of the jury at the ART&TUR Festival – International Film and Tourism Festival.
