Susana Mendes is an Assistant Professor at the School of Tourism and Marine Technology (ESTM), in Peniche – Polytechnic Institute of Leiria, a full member of MARE- Polytechnic of Leiria and a collaborating member of the Department of Statistics (University of Salamanca, Spain). She holds a degree in Mathematics from the Faculty of Science and Technology – Universidade Nova de Lisboa and completed her PhD in Applied Multivariate Statistics at the Department of Statistics at the University of Salamanca (Spain), where she developed research on three-way models and their applicability to analyze data from ecological studies with variations in time and space. The research he develops focuses on applied multivariate statistics. She has coordinated several projects in the area of food innovation and is the author of several scientific articles published in ISI journals (with citation from Thomson Reuters). He is also President of the Ethics Committee of the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria and a member of the sectoral team for the “Environment, Sustainability and Social Responsibility” dimension of the “Healthy Campus” program of the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria.
